Warehouse Supervisor - Allied Seed - Albany, OR

*Please note: This position is part of a career ladder – Warehouse Supervisor I, Warehouse Supervisor II, and Warehouse Supervisor III. The selected candidate will be hired into the appropriate tier based on their credentials and experience.
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for the daily operations of warehouse facility including maintenance of warehouse, understanding of line operations, and ability to lead warehouse team.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP
With support and supervision of management, supervises, leads, and develops Warehouse operators I, II, III, and Lead, and/or any assigned indirect reports applicable to the department by providing leadership, setting performance expectations, providing feedback, and actively maintaining performance management standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversees operation and maintenance of the facility, equipment and machinery in a safe, efficient, and economical way.
Collaborates with Customer Care team on planning, organizing, directing and scheduling product preparation for shipment to meet sales needs.
Responsible for scheduling warehouse staff assignments to meet sales needs in an efficient and economical manner. Also oversees scheduling of personal time off for employees.
Oversees Environmental Health and Safety and process trainings for warehouse staff and maintains records of trainings.
Responsible for procurement of necessary parts, supplies, machinery and inputs for efficient operation of equipment and product preparation within the facility.
Organizes, maintains, and manages inventory.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for maintaining the appearance of the facility according to company standards, maintains a safe environment of the facility, and maintains the appropriate professional image.
Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts with Customer Care team.
Follows Allied Seed’s Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1 year or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of line operation, warehouse maintenance, and equipment operations.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Strong organizational & leadership skills.
Prefer a general understanding of Allied Seed facility operations.
Must obtain/have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to work extended hours during peak production times.
