Inventory Specialist - Allied Seed - Nampa, ID

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Prepares and processes all necessary documentation for manufacturing as well as monitors and maintains seed inventories. Works closely with Customer Care an Warehouse Operations to meet sales order needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for preparing manufacturing work orders from creation of workorder to reconciling, reviewing and posting of completed workorder.
Creates and prints seed tags and pallet labels along with printed work orders to be sent to warehouse staff.
Monitors and maintain inventories in accordance with FIFO practices.
Enters and files seed samples, requests germs/other tests as needed and enters tests into company ERP system.
Enters scale tickets for seed received, enters transfers and oversees transfers of seed.
Maintains working knowledge of company ERP system.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Crosstrain with other Inventory Specialist staff to provide uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
Ability to work well with other teams to include but not limited to Warehouse, Customer Care and Logistics.
Follows Allied Seed’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program. Environmental Health and Safety, OHSA and DOT policies and procedures as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Normally requires a college degree in business or the equivalent thereof, and 1+ year of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of logistics and seed operations.
