LP Delivery & Service Technician - GROWMARK FS Mid-Atlantic - Albion, NY


Seedway is headquartered in Hall, New York with branches in Pennsylvania, Florida, Vermont, Maine, and New York. Seedway has about 220 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 15,000 customers. The cooperative does business in farm, vegetable, and turf seed. Seedway is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.



Responsible for Liquid Propane product delivery and service work.





Ensures efficient delivery of liquid propane within the trade territory according to customer and company requirements


Prospects for new customers to solicit new business


Communicates marketing programs and distributes sales promotion materials to customers and prospects


Conducts pressure and leak tests to assure the integrity of the propane system.


Performs leak tests on customer systems as required.


Ensures accurate billing of products and services


Provides customer service in a timely and accurate manner to increase customer satisfaction, maintain the reputation of the company, and the profitability of the company.


Maintains department equipment and vehicles for safe and proper operating condition





Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply


Performs all other duties as assigned





Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and/or 1-2 years of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge and skills regarding propane systems.


Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with required endorsements, medical DOT card, and satisfactory driving record.


Must be able to successfully complete a propane Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) and re-certifications.


Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions.  Working conditions may occasionally include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.


Occasionally may be required to work at varying heights.


Frequently required to lift 51lbs – 70lbs


Must be able to travel independently and overnight

Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered “normal”


Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
