Tire Manager
LOCATION: Aledo
REPORTS TO: Business Manager STATUS: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $52,000 - $80,000
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Sell tires, batteries and accessory products, and service work to farms, municipalities, businesses and retail customers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads and other sources.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective patrons or talks with customers over the counter or by phone.
- Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares work orders for orders obtained.
- Prepares reports of business transactions.
- Uses a contact management system and makes appointments for regular calls on patrons and prospects.
- Knows and maintains a system of all competition in sales territory.
- Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicle, tools and equipment according to company standards.
- Wears required company uniform and maintains a clean professional appearance.
- Attends all required meetings and training programs.
- Follows up on patron complaints and seeks resolution.
- Collects on accounts due from patrons.
- Orders and maintains inventory levels.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with vendors and take advantage of programs offered to benefit the company.
- Directly supervisors employees in department; interviewing, hiring, training, administering reward and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Addressing employee concerns and resolving issues.
- Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write basic instructions follow clear instructions and solve routine problems, including basic math skills with percentages and graphs.
- Effective communication with team members and customers.
- Must know or be willing to learn how to operate a forklift and tire shop equipment.
