PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Provides energy product deliveries and services to customers. Assists with resolving customer complaints in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Delivers all energy products utilizing a single or tandem axle truck and performs work related to the propane, petroleum, lubricant, and service areas.

 

Delivers to farm, home and commercial customer accounts.

 

Safely handles all energy products at all times.

 

Sets propane and petroleum tanks, services propane equipment, performs necessary propane safety checks, and works on propane regulator updates.

 

Effectively communicates with customers to ensure service work is being performed to their satisfaction.

 

Completes technical and product training in order to stay up-to-date and knowledgeable of product changes.

 

Reports all complaints to supervisor and utilizes appropriate procedures in handling complaints.

 

Assists supervision with complaint resolutions.

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Assists with inventory making sure it is done correctly, on time, and sent to the main office.

 

Takes necessary steps to control/manage shrink.

 

Inspects truck and bulk plant on a regular basis and ensures a timely repair.

 

Displays good judgment, positive attitude and enthusiasm in dealing with customers and fellow employees.

 

Maintains a good working knowledge of and utilizes applicable company computer programs such as, wEBS, FBS, and email.

 

Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.

 

Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards, adheres to the uniform policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 1 - 3 years or more of delivery driver and/or applicable service related work experience to demonstrate knowledge necessary to operate a single or tandem axle truck.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development

 

Must obtain and maintain all applicable licenses, certifications, and/or permits as required in order to perform the required duties.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and have the ability to travel independently and overnight.

 

Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.

 

Product deliveries may be required after hours, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, based on customer needs.

 

Frequently exposed to or required to perform work tasks that may include:

§ Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, mud, snow, ice, wind, etc.)

§ Noisy conditions

§ Conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical, and mechanical hazards with appropriate safety measures

§ Lifting 51 - 70 lbs.

§ Push/pull heavy objects

§ May be required to work at varying heights

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
