GROWMARK Exploring Agriculture Energy Operations Intern - Evergreen FS - Central Illinois

 

Evergreen FS is farmer-owned cooperative serving the needs of customers in McLean, Woodford, Livingston, Dewitt and Macon counties. Providing a full range of farm supplies and services including agronomy, seed, fertilizer, fuel, structures, custom turf, financing, marketing advice and products. Specializing in the production of corn and soybeans and operate several grain elevators as part of our operations. Evergreen FS offers a full line of energy products including gasoline, ethanol, biodiesel, diesel fuel, propane and lubricants to our customers at competitive prices. Evergreen FS is a member of the GROWMARK system.

 

Overview

 

This position will receive training while learning all the aspects of the energy department, such as providing fuel, propane products, and other services to our customers.  As the successful candidate you can expect to assist in the delivery of heavy fuels (diesel and gasoline), propane, DEF, oil, and other products all while learning how to set and service new and existing equipment at customer locations.  Check out this video to learn more:  https://vimeo.com/286083900

 

 

We are seeking interns that reside or look to relocate to DeWitt, Livingston, Macon, McLean or Woodford Counties in Illinois!  We do not offer relocation or housing assistance.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Learn sales and delivery experience while assisting in the distribution of energy products to residential, commercial, or agricultural customers.

 

Gain experience providing customer service by scheduling product deliveries, installations, and other services.

 

Chance to experience hands-on service-related opportunities by installing propane and refined fuel tanks and replacing outdated equipment at customers’ homes or places of business.

 

Experience the day-to-day procedures needed in order to keep up and maintain the equipment and bulk locations where you will be assigned.

 

Receive training on everything from professional sales techniques, features and benefits of products, to contact management systems, and routing techniques and software.

 

Required Qualifications

 

Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent and currently pursing a degree or certification from a 2-year community or technical college in good academic standing.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to travel independently as needed.

 

Ability to operate company software.

 

Demonstrated core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making and skill development.
