Information and Technology Manager - Evergreen FS - Bloomington, IL

Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversees the organization’s information technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, security tools, email systems and networks, by implementing new technologies, maintaining system stability, ensuring data security, and aligning IT strategies with overall business goals.
  • Provides supervision and leadership for the IT Department personnel. 
  • Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, telecommunications, and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and ensure uninterrupted service so employees have access to key business information and systems in order to serve our customers and to meet internal business needs. When necessary, perform on site repairs of desktops, laptops, printers, and other technology related assets.
  • Establish priorities for technology implementations and/or enhancements to current technology. Prepare annual technology budget that aligns with organizational needs, addresses need for new and replacement hardware and software and ensures cost effectiveness. 
  • Manage information system cyber security, including infrastructure, critical business applications, and data protection and governance. Establish best practices and controls to ensure integrity and security of all applications and data, and to verify that all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations. Manage PCI Compliance.
  • Work in conjunction with GROWMARK and other software vendors to recommend and implement necessary software changes as needed to enhance operating efficiencies
  • Perform all duties of Network Administrator. Develop and maintain throughout the organization disaster recovery efforts, data backup systems, and wired/wireless infrastructure.
  • Analyze business needs presented by management and users and recommend technical solutions with the completion timeline. Develop and maintain short and long-term plans for technology needs that align with the business objectives of the company. Coordinate technology installations, upgrades and maintenance.
  • Stay abreast of new developments within the information technology realm, and maintain broad based technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, relevant business applications, and tools that can enhance business performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide the support necessary for continued reliable availability to computer and network products and services in company operations.
  • Manage and support phone systems and mobile device accounts related to system software.
  • Maintain and manage necessary software licensing.
  • Provide a vast knowledge of MS Office products amongst other business-related software.
  • Conduct virtual events and live webinars with Microsoft Teams and other webinar platforms.
  • Attends all meetings and trainings as assigned.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Normally requires a B.S. in Information Technology or a closely related field or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
  • 5-10 years of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of information technology skills.
  • Familiarity and understanding of the FS Cooperative System considered a plus.
  • Advanced understanding of operating systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, networking concepts, mobile devices and mobile device management.
  • Prefer hands on working experience with routers, firewalls, switches, VPN devices, wireless and other networking technologies, VoIP, PRI, SIP and remote support of users.
  • Experience with MS Office 365 tools highly desired.
  • Experience with SSI Ag Vance Suite of products a plus.
  • Proven professional communication and customer service skills and the ability to comprehend simple instructions and communicate one-on-one and in small groups with customers and other employees.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to maintain complete confidentiality.
  • Must have or have the ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.
  • Must have the ability and be willing to drive in all weather and road conditions.
  • Ability to utilize stairs and ladders to work on equipment and facilities.
  • Occasionally exposed or required to: 
    • work in extreme weather conditions and noisy conditions.
      • May include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
      • Must be willing to devote time to the job in excess of that which is usually considered normal.
      • The ability to lift and/or move up to 21-50 pounds, push heavy objects, work at varying heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Evergreen’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to requirements of this position.
