Accounts Payable – Inventory Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
REPORTS TO: Assistant Controller STATUS: Non-Exempt
PAY RANGE: $17 - $24 / hour
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Under the direction of to the Assistant Controller, responsible for performing clerical, administrative and related work to enhance the production and efficiency of the main office. To provide support for the company by serving as back-up in various functional areas.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Executes administrative duties such as answering telephone and greeting customers when needed.
Processes merchandise invoices from coding to putting in the computer system to filing them by date paid and in Kwik Tags and keeping them for 3 months before shredding.
Balances prepay accounts each month.
Updates grain bin tracking for Cambridge, Aledo and Lyndon projects each month.
Tracking of misc. inventory each month.
Managing inventory – helping with ordering correct quantities and tracking invneotry to avoid stale product.
Updates retail pricing as needed for locations.
Processes intercompany transfers daily.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Good interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively deal with the public (both on the telephone and in person) in a pleasant, clear voice. Neat appearance.
May be required to cross-train and substitute for other office administrative and accounting positions.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of secretarial/clerical support and office procedures, as would be acquired through up to one year of related experience.
Ability to use personal computer, calculator, copier, fax machine, and other office equipment.
Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Understanding and experience with accounts payable, and reconciling vendor accounts.
Demonstrats planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
