SALARY RANGE: $22 - $27 / Hr

 

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Under the direction of the Construction and Maintenance Manager, the Lead Millwright is responsible for repairs, maintenance and installation of grain equipment.  Supervision and oversight of the millwright group of employees during work activities will be required  

 

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Install, repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, welding equipment and other necessary machines.
  • Maintain trucks, cranes, equipment, tools, etc. needed to conduct daily business, to ensure all are in good working order.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs as required
  • Communicate effectively with direct supervisor and assist in scheduling of internal jobs
  • Assist in the training of members of the millwright team and various location personnel
  • Climb and work from heights
  • Successfully communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures.  EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years plus of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Strong knowledge of grain industry related material handling equipment, mechanical systems, electrical systems and hydraulic systems.  The ability to understand site layout plans, blueprints and schematics is recommended. Proficient in welding and working with hand and power tools. Knowledge of grain equipment including but not limited to: grain legs, conveyors, towers, catwalks, grain bins, and grain dryers. Valid driver’s license is required.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
