Sandblaster & Industrial Coating Applicator
SALARY RANGE: $25.00 - $30.00 / Hour
REPORTS TO: Fleet Maintenance Manager STATUS: Non-exempt
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Prepare blasting jobs to be sandblasted then sandblasts all old paint and other materials off the piece of equipment to be painted.
Applies paint and other industrial coatings to the sandblasted pieces of equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Be able to prepare objects to be sandblasted or painted.
Operates sandblasting equipment.
Apply paint and other industrial coatings.
Drive truck and trailer to remove locations to perform assigned work.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
May be required to provide backup in the Crops, Energy and Turf Departments.
Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards, adheres to the uniform policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of related work experience
Required skills include fabrication, cutting, welding, bearing replacement, engine service/maintenance/adjustments (both gas & diesel), automotive electrical, brake adjustment/repair (both mechanical & air) and hydraulic troubleshooting/repair.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Frequently exposed or required to:
- Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
- Noisy conditions
- Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
- May be required to work at varying heights
- Confined spaces
- Lift 51-70 pounds
- Required to push heavy objects
Ability to work extended hours.
Ability to travel independently and overnight.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Conserv FS’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
