Job Summary: 

 

Responsible for administration of grain business processes at Total Grain MarketingProvides support and training of the day-to-day operations and employees to ensure accuracy and efficiency of programs, processes, and technology implementation. 

 

Reports to / Supervision Received: 

 

CFO 

 

Essential Functions: 

 

  • Provides overall support to employees within company grain software applications.   
    • Collaborates with the controller group and the merchandising team to develop TGM’s business processes for the purchase, receipt, sale, shipment, and payment of/for grain by TGM. 
    • Responsible for training of administrative personnel and all others on various business systems such as Grain software applications, scale interphases and online customer portals/apps and more. 
    • Participates with leadership teams to leverage new technologies to help enhance the company internal processes and communication strategies to make the company more efficient. 
    • Provides support and assistance to administrators to maintain high levels of customer service within TGM. 
    • Assists controller group with state grain examinations and other financial reporting as well as monitoring compliance with business processes that support adequate levels of internal controls. 
  • Follows Total Grain Marketing company policies and safety programs 
  • Attend required meetings as requested. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

 

Skills and Attributes: 

  • Although not obligatory, having experience in grain settlements, customer contracting, state regulatory requirements, daily grain positioning, and other related processes would be beneficial. 
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. 
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.   
  • Proven professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills. 
  • Demonstrated planning, organization, document development and decision-making skills. 
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. 
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on TGM policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.   
  • Requirement to work extended hours at times as well as occasional travel.
