Education and Experience:
Minimum 2-year, college degree in agriculture, marketing, or other business and/or at least 2 years sales/marketing experience is preferred.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Precision Farming Specialist, support South Central farmers and Crop Specialists in precision equipment sales and support. Collaborate within the crops department to deliver on a technology driven, sub acre approach that delivers customer return on investment. Focus includes equipment sales, installations, data collection, organization, evaluation, analysis, script development and recommendations.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):
• Trains under the Precision Farming Specialist
• Trainable candidate to quickly expand knowledge of precision ag equipment including but not limited to planter builds, row clutches, downforce, auto steer, guidance systems, planter meters, RTK systems and miscellaneous parts/equipment to enhance customer productivity.
• Learn the sales process working with grower customers, uncover needs and prepare proposals.
• Learn the knowledge and capability to install precision equipment, ongoing maintenance support and troubleshooting of customer needs.
• Communicate and collaborate with growers and crop specialists to bring technology driven value.
• Develop working knowledge of EFC, Climate Field View, Summit, AgFiniti, JD Operations Center and other data collection/analysis software.
• Support the assigned personnel that move the flow of information from soil test through software to VRT applications and beyond.
• Provide the information link between precision farming technologies and sales/operations.
• Be recognized as the precision farming leader in the marketplace and represent the organization at company events.
• Collaborate face to face with South Central FS customers who utilize the Precision Farming services.
• Secure FAA certificate for drone operations.
• Maintain proper records including service calls, inventory, timely billing and maintenance records.
• Work directly with sales team to ensure products and services are being delivered successfully to achieve growth and maximize the customer experience.
• Prepare and submit reports and other information as may be requested.
• Attend meetings and/or training to keep currently informed of new developments in Precision Farming and to ensure that South Central Company’s Precision Farming program is up to date.
• Respond to customer inquiries, request changes on Precision Farming recommendations, and provide answers and changes to crop specialist for delivery to customers.
• Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ensure accounts receivable is within company’s credit policy.
• Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicle according to company standards.
• Wears required company uniform and maintains a clean professional appearance.
• Attends all required meetings and training programs.
• Ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
• Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures. EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times.
• All other duties as assigned.
