SALARY RANGE: $60 - $70K  

 

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent across South Central FS, Inc. and Total Grain Marketing. This position partners closely with business leaders to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies that support both immediate hiring goals and long-term talent pipelines.

This role goes beyond filling positions—it focuses on building relationships, strengthening the employer brand, and improving overall hiring quality and retention.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Strategic Recruiting & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand hiring needs, workforce plans, and role requirements
  • Conduct intake sessions to define job expectations, candidate profiles, and hiring timelines
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies aligned with business objectives

Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Source active and passive candidates using job boards, social platforms, networking, and internal databases
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles and future hiring needs
  • Implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates

Full Cycle Recruiting

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job posting through offer acceptance
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate hiring processes
  • Facilitate candidate evaluations and provide recommendations to hiring managers
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the process

Employer Branding & Outreach

  • Promote South Central FS, Inc. and Total Grain Marketing employment brand through all candidate interactions
  • Build relationships with colleges, universities, trade schools, and community organizations
  • Attend career fairs, recruiting events, and classroom presentations

Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers on recruiting strategies and hiring decisions
  • Provide regular updates on candidate pipelines, hiring progress, and market insights

Data, Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and retention
  • Use data to evaluate recruiting strategies and improve hiring outcomes
  • Identify trends and recommend process improvements

Compliance & Process Management

  • Ensure all recruiting activities comply with EEOC, Affirmative Action, and employment regulations
  • Stay current on employment laws, policies, and best practices

Candidate Experience & Onboarding Support

  • Provide clear and realistic job expectations to candidates
  • Support onboarding and pre-employment processes as needed
  • Conduct follow-ups with new hires to support retention and engagement

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or related field. 1-3 years of recruiting, sourcing or talent acquisition experience. Strong evaluation, decision-making and communication skills. Ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers. Proficient with Microsoft office and applicant tracking. Ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
