PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Support the Energy Department by setting, installing, and servicing tanks, pumps, and related equipment, while assisting with the delivery of fuels and lubricants as needed. All duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner while maintaining excellent customer service and company standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Sets and installs LP and refined fuel storage tanks at customer locations according to company procedures and safety standards.
Performs service, maintenance, and basic repair of LP and liquid fuel tanks, pumps, regulators, and related equipment.
Assists with delivery of refined fuels, propane, and lubricants to customers’ homes, farms, and places of business.
Conducts system checks and inspections on installed tanks and equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
Troubleshoots and resolves customer equipment or fuel system issues in the field.
Handles customer concerns promptly and reports issues to the supervisor when necessary.
Completes daily service reports, installation documentation, and other required activity records.
Maintains company vehicles, tools, and equipment according to company standards and performs routine maintenance when required.
Adheres to company safety procedures, operational guidelines, and uniform policy while maintaining a professional image.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists other departments such as Propane, Agronomy, or Energy Delivery as needed.
Supports seasonal operational needs and special projects within the Energy Department.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferably have mechanical, service technician, or energy service experience demonstrating troubleshooting and equipment installation skills.
Preferably have route delivery or field service experience to demonstrate organization and time management skills.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Proven professional communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and troubleshooting abilities.
Demonstrated math skills including the ability to calculate proportions, percentages, measurements, and volumes.
Demonstrated core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, be insurable to operate required vehicles, and have the ability to travel independently.
Must pass and maintain all required DOT physical and drug testing requirements.
Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered “normal,” including seasonal or emergency service hours.
Frequently exposed or required to:
- Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, mud, snow, ice, wind, etc.)
- Noisy conditions
- Dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical, and mechanical hazards with appropriate safety measures
- Lifting 51–70 lbs.
- Pulling or dragging up to 70 lbs. for distances up to 100 ft
- Maneuvering barrels or drums of product weighing up to 450 lbs. with appropriate equipment
- Climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding
- Working at varying heights and on platforms
- Installing and servicing tanks and fuel systems in outdoor and confined environments

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
