Logistics Coordinator & Inside Fuel Sales - Insight FS - Green Bay, WI

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for quoting customer pricing and determining the most cost-effective movement of assigned products while maintaining established service levels. Maintains information on customer orders, tenders loads to carriers and schedules deliveries in a manner that meets customer requirements while minimizing overall costs.  

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Has the responsibility and authority to provide price quotations to customers, receive orders, and maintain data on customer’s orders through delivery.

 

Determines product source to enhance profitability of transport sales and internal bulk plant purchases and dispatches the load utilizing the least cost delivery method.

 

Negotiate and secure fuel loads/contracts that are in the best financial interest for the customer.

 

Monitors company and customer contractual requirements to ensure fulfillment as well as maximize profitability. 

 

Works with credit manager to ensure that customers have received the necessary credit application information and have an approved line of credit before any freight is hauled.

 

Ensures professional customer service by monitoring select customer fuel inventory levels.

 

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory at optimum pricing for internal bulk plants and unattended retail sites.

 

Determine and change pricing for unattended retail sites.

 

Prepare transport paperwork for invoicing and Accounts Payable:

  • Receive & Assemble carrier paperwork with Transport orders.
  • Prepare transport orders for customer invoicing
  • Approve Accounts Payable invoices for transport loads

 

Make sales calls to potential customers.

 

Carry company cell phone 24/7 for emergency inquiries (not common)

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires an Associate’s degree in a business related field, or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of related work experience.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

 

Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.

 

Ability to travel independently and overnight.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
