Energy Service Tech - AgVantage FS - Hampton, IA

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT 

 

Installs and maintains customer and division liquid gas systems. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  

Responsible for installing and maintaining customer and company liquid gas systems.  

 

Schedules efficiently to achieve a cost-effective maintenance and repair schedule. 

 

Responsible for maintaining department equipment and vehicles for safe and proper operating condition. 

 

Conducts pressure tests to assure the integrity of the liquid gas system prior to placing a system into service or in the event service is interrupted.   

 

Maintains records of all regulators, including date of manufacture, and changes regulators as necessary. 

Performs leak tests on customer systems as required. 

 

Develops and maintains a record of company owned tanks and equipment. 

 

Works with Microsoft Office programs and other proprietary software to process electronic orders, scheduling, inventory and other tracking and communication responsibilities. 

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS 

 

Work in other areas of the business, including Agronomy teams in the warehouse, as needed.  

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. 

 

May be required to drive to run local errands as needed. 

 

Performs all other duties as assigned. 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS 

 

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and/or 1-2 years of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge and skills regarding propane systems. 

 

Achieve and maintain above ground tank installation certification. 

 

Demonstrated essential abilities business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. 

 

Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions.  

 

Working conditions may occasionally be required at varying heights and include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures. 

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. 

 

Ability to work hours other than those considered normal.  

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
