Snow Shoveler - UPI Energy FS - Hanover, Ontario

General Accountability:

This position is responsible for clearing all walkways of snow and ice at the assigned location. This includes shoveling snow and spreading salt, or similar ice melting product, as needed. This position will work on a casual, on-call, seasonal basis.



Reports To:


Branch Manager



Specific Accountability:

• De-icing and removal of snow from walkways;
• Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring property and landscape is not damaged in the efforts of removing snow;
• Safely operates snow shovel and distributes deicing solutions;
• Perform highly physical work outdoors on a consistent basis in all weather conditions, specifically very cold, icy, snowy weather;
• Work as part of a team and take direction;
• Understands and complies with Company Health and Safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

• A clear schedule to work at different hours of the day;
• Punctual and dependable;
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.


Working Conditions:

Outdoors in all types of inclement weather and exposure to elements. Physical activity includes walking, standing, lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.

This is a weather dependent position, with no guaranteed hours
