IT Systems Manager - Insight FS - Jefferson, WI

 

Insight FS is headquartered in Jefferson, Wisconsin with 23 branches across the state and upper peninsula of Michigan. The cooperative does business in agronomy, agri-finance, precision agriculture, nutrient management, energy, feed, grain, and turf. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Provides IT technical and application support, problem resolution and project coordination to Insight FS locations including installation, configuration, and maintenance of corporate IT hardware and software, business systems and related infrastructure.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains office network and remote site hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling, and Internet service providers. 

 

Develops, implements and monitors management information systems policies, controls and procedures related to ensure data accuracy, security and legal and regulatory compliance.

 

Expertise in Agvance, Kahler and Webs/Esys softwares.

 

Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.

 

Develops and communicates standards for use, operations, and security of network, personal computers, and data.

 

In charge os Statement Processes and fiscal month end and year end backups.

 

Communicates with software training specialists and support personel.

 

Provides recommendations of changes to current sites consistent with organizational objectives.

 

Researches and evaluates new technologies.

 

Negotiates contracts with and coordinates activities of hardware, software, telecommunications, support, and training vendors.

 

Project setup, API and knowledge of New Technology fits with FS/future..

 

Database management ( item setup, etc.)

 

Collects and analyzes network and memory utilization.

 

Develops and implements disaster recovery procedures, including managing computer operation scheduling, backup, storage and retrieval functions.

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Develops departmental budget for software or hardware acquisition.

 

Willingness to answer calls after hours in case of an emergency.

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a computer related field, or the equivalent thereof, and a minimum of 1 year of professional experience supporting multiple locations.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered ‘normal.’

 

Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.

 

Occasionally required to lift 21-50 lbs.

 

Occasionally exposed to working conditions which may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures. 

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
