Precision Parts Coordinator - GROWMARK FS Mid-Atlantic - Kennedy, NY

 

GROWMARK FS is headquartered in Milford, Delaware with branches in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. GROWMARK FS has about 450 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 13,000 customers. The cooperative does business in seed, agronomy, crop protection, precision agriculture, and custom application. GROWMARK FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.

 

 PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

The Parts Coordinator is responsible for ordering, receiving and maintaining inventory to ensure parts are available for scheduled jobs.  Ensures all billings are completed according to established standards.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Ordering parts from Precision Planting, Martin Tillage, Harvest International, among other vendors as needed.

 

Responsible for all warranty claims and credits to customer invoices.

 

Inventory of all parts and complete Precision farming systems.

 

Reconcile supplier invoices with inventory to process for payment.

 

Responsible for customer invoicing of all parts and service work provided by in field technicians.

 

Proactively maintain inventory stock for technicians in-field kits and warehouse parts to service customers.

 

Maintains and repairs Corn Meter, Speedtube and Vapply and calibration.

 

Maintain records pertaining to service work performed on equipment and systems purchased by customers up to date.

 

Sell systems and parts to customers directly (is there an expectation how much to sell?).

 

Provide customer service on meter repair questions and parts orders as needed.

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

            

Normally requires a high school education or equivalent and experience with parts management and inventory control.           

 

Proven professional communications, interpersonal, and customer service skills along with “attention to detail” skills to satisfy customer and employee requests. Proven team building skills, the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.

 

Ability to use/learn computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word and other applications as needed.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Occasionally exposed to noisy conditions, working conditions with dust, fumes, chemicals, and may be required to work at varying heights and able to lift and carry 50 pounds.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
