Logistics & Inventory Specialist
REPORTS TO: Service Center Manager STATUS: Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $72,000 / year
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Assists the Service Center Manager with the supervision and leadership of the operations of the assigned location including personnel, scheduling, logistics, packaged product handling and customer satisfaction. Assists in the development and implementation of business plans that maximize location profitability.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists Location Manager with supervision of all operations, scheduling service equipment and personnel at the assigned location.
Schedules and performs maintenance of assigned equipment, rolling stock and facilities.
Leads personnel to follow all safe operating procedures and regulations.
Responsible for the inventory control and updates inventory as needed. Assures all products are accounted for with either an invoice or delivery ticket.
Process and print delivery, transfer and customer pickups, DOT transportation documents for HAZ-MAT and maps with contact information as needed.
Responsible for ordering assigned product categories/product lines.
Assists walk in customers, answer phone, take and enter orders.
Assists in the development and implementation of business plans that maximize location profitability.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Works with Service Center Mgr. for contracting building and equipment repairs and maintenance (plumbing, electrical, etc.)
Assist with IRP registration, vehicle insurance, HAZ-Mat registration, IFTA registration, vehicle safety
Responsible for maintaining office and warehouse equipment, as appropriate, according to company standards, adheres to the uniform policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.
Use effective negotiation skills to identify customer needs, recommend additional products or services, and support up-selling opportunities.
Apply effective problem-solving techniques to identify issues, evaluate possible solutions, and implement practical resolutions in a timely manner.
Serves as backup to the manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of daily operations and support for employees and customers.
May be required to cross-train and substitute for other administrative positions.
Follows Conserv FS’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1-3 years or more of clerical related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of professional communication skills, typing proficiency and Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of Agvance is helpful.
Demonstrate essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and have the ability to travel independently and overnight.
May be required to work extended hours beyond those considered “normal” to meet seasonal demands.
Work is conducted mainly in a typical office environment, with exposure to other warehousing or storage facilities with generally satisfactory conditions, sometimes in a noisy, open area while interacting with team members and serving customer’s needs.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Conserv FS’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
