Position Overview
Operate field equipment; work on equipment and plant facilities in a positive and professional manner.
Essential Job Functions
- Operate and maintain field agronomy machine(s) for maximum thru put and longevity.
- Must cooperate and communicate with other employees in a positive and productive manner.
- Cross train and work in other departments when deemed necessary by supervisor.
- Treat and handle patrons in a professional and courteous manner.
- Attend meetings, schools and seminars when necessary.
- Perform all duties in a safety conscious manner.
Requirements
- Previous applicator or related experience and/or training to demonstrate the ability to custom apply fertilizers, crop protection products and do minor equipment maintenance.
- Must have, or have the ability to obtain and maintain, a CDL and commercial applicator’s license.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds.
- Must be able to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.
- Demonstrate basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals along with the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Other Skills/Abilities
- Proven professional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills as they relate to the custom application business.
