Seasonal Dry Fertilizer Operator - Insight FS - Marshall, WI

Responsible for the loading and unloading of product from trucks and railcars. Operator will use the location equipment to move product from one mode of transportation to the other.





Unload dry bulk products from railcars, semis, and other vehicles to storage using location/branch equipment.

Operate loading equipment to load product from storage to other transports.

Responsible for the safe handling and operation of equipment such as skid-steer loaders, forklifts, front-end loaders, backhoes, and tractors.

Maintain proper paperwork when handling inbound and outbound product.

Help clean equipment after product has been received or shipped.

Ability to recognize errors and anticipate problems before they occur.





Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.


Responsible for maintaining company vehicles and equipment according to company standards, adheres to the uniform policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.


Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.


Performs all other duties as assigned.





Normally requires a high school diploma and relevant experience working with material handling equipment in a feed mill, fertilizer shed, or similar is a plus.


Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record; CDL is a plus, but not required

 Frequently exposed or required to: 

•           Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, snow, ice, etc.)

•           Noisy conditions

•           Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures

•           May be required to work at varying heights

•           Confined spaces

•           Lift (51-70 lbs)

Ability to work extended hours during peak seasonal demands

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
