Evergreen FS is farmer-owned cooperative serving the needs of customers in McLean, Woodford, Livingston, Dewitt and Macon counties. Providing a full range of farm supplies and services including agronomy, seed, fertilizer, fuel, structures, custom turf, financing, marketing advice and products. Specializing in the production of corn and soybeans and operate several grain elevators as part of our operations. Evergreen FS offers a full line of energy products including gasoline, ethanol, biodiesel, diesel fuel, propane and lubricants to our customers at competitive prices. Responsible for physical grain handling, facility operations and the daily routine related to actual grain movement and routine elevator maintenance.





Monitors quality and condition of all grain moving through or stored in the facility.


Uses proper aeration techniques to maintain grain quality and minimize shrinkage.


Conducts periodic physical inventory measurements for comparison with book inventories.


Assures proper segregation of all inbound commodities, performs and monitors effective blending of all outbound grain.


Performs periodic inspections of all elevator equipment for proper maintenance procedures and identifies problem areas.


Assist with employee schedules.


Oversee required operational tasks by other grain operators and seasonal/temporary employees.


Maintains awareness of grain market action.





Issue inbound/outbound accounting documents


Supports marketing efforts of the company.


Performs all other duties as assigned.





Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years or more of work experience to demonstrate knowledge of grain handling practices.


Mechanical ability required.


Basic electrical knowledge helpful.


Agricultural background helpful.


Ability to obtain and maintain a Grain Grading Certificate.


Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.


Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.


Frequently required to lift 50 pounds or more and work at heights over 150 feet. Frequently exposed to dust, extreme heat, extreme cold and high noise level.


Ability to work hours beyond those considered normal.


Ability to travel independently and overnight.
