PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Under the direction of the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, this role is responsible for administering and optimizing agronomy-related business processes within the Retail Division. The role provides strategic insight, analytics, and operational leadership to support long-term, profitability-driven decision-making. In addition, the position delivers day-to-day oversight and direction to business process, IT, and administrative staff to ensure accurate, efficient, and consistent execution of systems, programs, and policies.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP
Supervises, leads, and develops the Business Process staff, IT and other administrative staff as required. Provides leadership, oversight, and functional support to IT and other administrative staff as required. Promotes collaboration across departments to ensure consistent execution of retail business processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide leadership and guidance to business process, IT, and administrative staff to ensure consistent administration of company policies and procedures.
Leverage technology-driven solutions to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and timeliness across retail operations.
Act as a liaison with Corporate Accounting to review, develop, and administer effective business processes and controls.
Oversee the review, maintenance, and optimization of agronomy business processes within the Agvance system and associated applications to support automation and accurate transaction processing.
Coordinates business process personnel to train adminstrative personnel and and other users on assigned processes, including but not limited to blending, planning, grower farm and field boundaries, scale interfaces, and intercompany transfers.
Manage, track, and evaluate the rollout and implementation of new and existing business processes, ensuring proper execution and compliance.
Analyze program effectiveness and provide actionable feedback to the Marketing Department.
Ensure inventory accuracy through proper process administration, regular monitoring, and periodic inventory observation reviews.
Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies and shrink issues in collaboration with location personnel.
Coordinate the development, testing, deployment, training, and support of GROWMARK information products, systems, and services using internal staff, remote technologies, or external technical resources.
Manage system reporting functions, including data setup, purging, delivery, deferred revenue, and prepay reporting.
Support the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager with business process analysis and operational initiatives as needed.
Collaborate with GROWMARK counterparts to drive consistent execution of retail business processes and IT functions across the system.
Assist corporate accounting team with the annual audit process.
Partner with management and location staff to ensure consistent application of technology, systems, and retail processes.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Provides secondary administration for Energy Business processes at retail division to optimize business processes.
Assists corporate accounting team with the implementation of accounting projects and programs that support consistent administration of policies and procedures.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires an Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of related customer service work experience to demonstrate knowledge of professional communication skills, business process, process implementation, and leadership.
Prefer an understanding of GROWMARK business processes and IMS supported applications including but not limited to Agvance.
Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and have the ability to travel independently and overnight.
Ability to work extended hours beyond those considered “normal” when required.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
