COMPENSATION:  $17 - $20 hourly

 

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

The purpose for this position is to assist in daily operational duties at the facility.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Responsible for safe, efficient chemical bay operations at the designated location.
  • Adheres to scheduled maintenance protocols for facility and equipment.
  • Maintains inventory control and submits application records daily. Coordinates product distribution.
  • Organizes and transports warehouse products and materials.
  • Prepares material handling, blending, storage, transportation, and application equipment for product blending and delivery.
  • Blends products according to established rates and procedures.
  • Safely loads and unloads containers, pallets, materials, and products onto or off trucks, trailers, and railcars.
  • Verifies all products are accounted for on each invoice or delivery ticket.
  • Ensures completion and return of all relevant documentation, including bills of lading, delivery slips, and invoices, to the branch location by day's end for prompt receiving and invoice payment.
  • Completes required paperwork such as logbooks, cargo records, and any other assigned record-keeping duties on a daily basis.
  • Supports both full-time and part-time operational staff.
  • Contributes to organizational goals through efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
  • Delivers exemplary customer service.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of related work experience
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
  • Must have or have the ability to obtain and maintain a CDL license with required endorsements and any other applicable certification, license or permit, valid medical card and satisfactory driving record, as applicable.
  • Must hold and maintain, or have the ability to obtain, all required pesticide or fertilizer applicator licenses or certifications in states where crop production inputs are applied
  • Responsible for renewing licenses or certifications as required and reporting status of licenses or certifications to the Location Manager
  • Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant
  • Occasionally exposed or required: 
  • Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
  • Noisy conditions
  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • May be required to work at varying heights
  • Lift 51 - 70 lbs.
