SALARY/COMMISSIONS RANGE: $45 - $65K 

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Under the direction of the Region Manager, the Location Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all the daily grain facility operational activities in a safe and profitable manner. Work with and cooperate with other supervisory personnel to ensure efficiency and overall company growth.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Lead, train, schedule, and develop grain elevator operations personnel.
  • Direct daily receiving, storage, mixing and shipping of grain via trucks or rail.
  • Monitor inventory levels, grain condition, blending opportunities, and implement quality assurance measures.
  • Coordinate grain movement with grain originators, merchandisers, and transportation manager.
  • Oversee facility housekeeping, preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Drive process improvements, develop standard operating procedures, and manage facility upgrades.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory system to protect grain.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Responsible for making sure the facilities and equipment are clean and maintained.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
  • Attends all required meetings and training programs.
  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures. EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years of related work experience.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
