Professional Truck Driver – Class A 

LOCATION: Oakdale Elevator

COMPENSATION: $23-$25 / hour + benefits and overtime

OVERVIEW:
Gateway FS is looking for a Professional Truck Driver located out of the comapny's Oakdale elevator. This individual will spend a majority of time hauling grain out of the location to mills and terminals in Illinois and Missouri. This is a position for someone who can work very well independently.This is a full-time position with benefits including time and a half for overtime work, benefits, profit-sharing, and retirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Spend a majority of time hauling grain from the Oakdale elevator to mills and terminals.

Assist with dry fertilizer deliveries at Oakdale when needed.

Assist with grain handling at Oakdale to cover for vacations & sick time when needed.

Perform Pre & Post trip inspections and communicate any potential problems with other Gateway FS employees.

Maintain mileage records.

Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONS:
A desire to provide excellent service to customers while maintaining a positive attitude.

Strong work ethic.

A valid Class A CDL.

Always maintain a clean truck and a professional appearance.

Ability to operate grain handling equipment to load and unload trucks.

Safely operate equipment, such as forklift and wheel-loader.

Contribute daily to cleanliness and maintenance of facility and equipment.

Must be able to handle shoveling, kneeling, climbing, sweeping, and lifting up to 70 lbs.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to work in outdoor conditions (Heat, Cold, Dust, etc..).

Ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays during busy seasons when needed.

Work effectively and safely as a team to accomplish goals.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
