Energy Area Sales Manager
PAY RANGE: $80,000 to $120,000 / year
Compensation is determined based on your experience and qualifications.
In addition to base pay, you may be eligible for overtime, commission, performance-based increases, and bonuses.
REPORTS TO: Energy Marketing Manager STATUS: Exempt
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for the implementation of the energy marketing plan and sales growth, the profitability of the energy department in the assigned territory, the supervision of the territory sales/delivery personnel, and key account management.
Responsible for calling on targeted customers and generating profitable sales, providing value-added energy products, services, and recommendations.
Supervision and Leadership
Supervises, leads, and develops the assigned Energy Sales & Delivery Specialists by providing leadership, setting performance expectations, providing feedback, and actively maintaining performance management standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

To grow the assigned territory and generate new business with profitable sales through target marketing, competitive analysis, and providing value-added energy products, services, and recommendations.

Provides leadership to the energy sales team by setting performance expectations, managing sales activities, and personally calling on key customers daily. Works with salesmen in the field to train, assist, and assure optimum application performance.

Responsible for the profitability of the energy department through target marketing, competitive analysis, profitable pricing strategies, continual management and evaluation of people and structure, and managing fixed assets.

Prepare customer call reports and enter reporting on the Contact Management program as required. Keep expense accounts.

Oversees the credit worthiness of customers and the accounts receivable administration.

Conduct and/or assist with training and informational meetings with salesmen and/or customers.

Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.

Collaborates with Operations Managers to ensure all equipment, rolling stock, and facilities are in good working order.

Assist the Energy Department Manager upon request.

Develops beneficial relationships with required vendors for energy products.

Assists with the development of the company budget by forecasting sales volumes, projected margins, and expense items.

REQUIREMENTS
Educations and Experience

Normally requires a college degree and four (4) or more years of sales management and marketing experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to supervise employees, generate profitable sales, build a repeat customer base, and gain market share.

Other Requirements

Obtain a valid CDL A (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) within six months of employment and maintain a clean driving record.

Must be able to obtain, within six months, and maintain applicable professional certifications associated with the energy industry.

Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands.

The role may require occasional travel to other company locations or industry events, with the ability to travel independently and stay overnight as needed.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training related to the position’s requirements.
