STRUCTURE FOREMAN


PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the direction of the Structures Manager will service Grain Bins.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Supervise all Bin Crews

Work with the Structure Salesman/Structures Manager to maintain a job schedule and keep within budget guide lines.

Maintain a safe work environment and reports to Structures Manager when there is a deviation in acceptable levels.

Follow all company safety practices and procedures. Ensures subordinate company employees follow all company safety practices and procedures.

Works with Structures Manager on scheduling grain bin repair jobs and maintaining a sellable grain bin part inventory.

Follows instructions from Structures Salesman/Structures Manager and completes repair jobs, equipment installs in a timely manner.

Maintain and operate within the regulatory guidelines of OSHA.

Attends all required meeting and training programs.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for maintaining company equipment according to company standards, adheres to the Ag View FS Uniform Policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.

May serve on the location Safety Committee and adheres to member cooperative environmental health and safety policies and training.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience.

Normally requires previous experience and/or training to demonstrate the ability to service Grain Bins.

 

Functional Competencies

Proven professional communication and customer service skills and the ability to comprehend simple instructions and communicate one-on-one in small groups with customers and employees.

Demonstrated time management and basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Proven ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must have or have the ability to obtain a CDL with all the Endorsements that the job requires.

Ability to perform a pre and post trip inspections, perform minor equipment maintenance and repair.

 

Frequently required to lift 70 pounds

 

Ability to climb grain structure ladders and stairs

 

Occasionally work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)

 

Occasionally work in noisy conditions

 

Working conditions occasionally may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures

 

Occasionally may be required to work at varying heights

 

Occasionally may be exposed to confined spaces
