The successful candidate must be self-motivated, ambitious, possess strong communications skills, and be capable of working well both individually and as a team. A basic understanding of agricultural practices and mechanical skills are required.

Operate and maintain up to date agricultural application equipment applying crop nutrients and crop protection products to crops.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the application of crop protection and dry/liquid fertilizer products

Complete necessary paperwork; logbook, record of cargo, and any other required record keeping

Ensure application is made in a timely manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism

Demonstrate ability to read maps, work orders, follow specific delivery directions and instructions

Operate application equipment to apply crop protection products.

Responsible for the safe handling of chemicals within the guidelines of the label instructions, using basic computer and math skills.

Maintain equipment to ensure safe and accurate application

General yard and equipment maintenance and other duties around the yard as required.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENCES:

All certificates are assets but can be acquired upon employment.

Ontario Pesticide Training and Certification- Exterminator License
