SALARY RANGE: $40 - $60K   

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Under the direction of the Region Manager, the Location Manager is responsible for coordinating all purchases, operations, public relations, and control activities within the location in a safe and profitable manner.  Cooperate with other supervisory personnel to ensure efficiency and overall company growth.     

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Purchase grain and report transactions in a timely manner. 
  • Responsible for weighing and testing of grain-inbound and outbound. 
  • Responsible for payment of grain purchases. 
  • Ability to write purchase contracts on the computer and basic knowledge of the computer system. 
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  
  • Responsible for all supervisor duties including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 
  • Responsible for understanding the working knowledge of all records relevant to your location including but not limited to purchases, sales, long and short position, storage position, grain contracts and inventory. 
  • Supervise grain receiving, storage, grain drying and shipping of grain. 
  • Maintain an accurate inventory system to protect grain. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service. 
  • Responsible for monitoring the grade and condition of all grain on hand. 
  • Responsible for making sure the facilities and equipment are clean and maintained.  
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records. 
  • Monitor compliance of all safety activities and regulatory compliance. 
  • Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.                                  

 

REQUIREMENTS

 Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
