Sunrise FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

 

Responsible for providing leadership in Agri-Finance, marketing of credit programs as a sales tool, and administration of finance programs.

 

SUPERVISION & LEADERSHIP

 

 

Supervises, leads, and develops assigned staff through effective planning, coaching, and communicating performance expectations & standards, to achieve maximum growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

 

Investigates and verifies financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit, preparing documents to substantiate findings, and recommending rejection or approval of applications

 

Requests applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicants evaluation

 

Analyzes applicant’s financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or submits application to credit analyst for verification and recommendation

 

Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms

 

Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy

 

Assures timely loan completion and funding activities

 

Reviews customer marketing plans and analyzes changes in market and its impact on repayment ability

 

Reviews delinquent accounts and contacts customers for collection of past due balances and reports to management repayment ability.  Drafts correspondence for use in collection attempts and pplies appropriate collection activities.

 

Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures

 

Audits delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account

 

Processes all Agri-Finance and third-party program administration.

 

Provides leadership and training on Agri-Finance marketing programs to company salespeople and assists in using finance to target customers to promote and sell products and services.

 

Coordinates with others, including personnel in company branches to exchange information and update controls

 

Addresses and handles inquiries, requests and complaints from customers and/or company employees.

 

Advises management of external factors that may affect lending policies, such as new or revised legislation and regulations.  Recommends and implements appropriate changes to established policies and procedures

 

Assists in development of Agri-Finance marketing plans and programs

Obtains and maintains knowledge of credit, financing and lending laws, ensuring appropriate compliance.

 

Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

 

Normally requires a Bachelors degree in accounting or finance; or the equivalent thereof, and at least 3 years of accounting or finance related area to demonstrate financial leadership, organization, planning and problem solving skills. 

 

Prefer an understanding of GROWMARK System credit and Agri-Finance administration.

 

Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. 

 

Must be able to travel independently and overnight.

 

Must be able to work extended hours beyond those considered “normal.”

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
