Tire Service Technician

PAY RANGE: $15 - $19.97 / hour

Compensation is determined based on your experience and qualifications.

 

In addition to base pay, you may be eligible for overtime, commission, performance-based increases, and bonuses.

 

REPORTS TO: Location Manager                                                                                      STATUS: Non-Exempt

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Repairs and replaces tires and is responsible for operating in a safe and professional manner.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicle, tools and equipment according to company standards.
  • Repairing and replacing tires offered by company.
  • Balances tires as needed.
  • Delivers products to customers according to company standards and to increase potential sales. 
    Communications sales leads to their supervisor.
  • Responsible for the inventory control and turns in application records on a daily basis.  Assures all product
    is accounted for with either an invoice or delivery ticket.
  • Counts inventory on a regular basis and records.
  • Maintain all equipment for safe and efficient operation.
  • Repairs and rebuilds equipment as needed.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Responsible for maintaining company equipment according to company standards, adheres to the company Uniform Policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Educations and Experience

 

Normally requires a High School degree or equivalent and 2 years or more related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of required skills.

 

Functional Competencies

 

  • Proven professional communication and customer service skills and the ability to comprehend simple instructions and communicate one-on-one and in small groups with customers and other employees.
  • Demonstrated time management and basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals along with the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of basic computer skills as they relate to the custom application business.

Other Requirements

 

  • Obtain a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) within six months of employment and maintain a clean driving record. 
  • Follow safety and compliance standards to help ensure their well-being and the safety of others. 
  • Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands. 
  • The role may require occasional travel to other company locations or industry events, with the ability to travel independently and stay overnight as needed. 
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training related to the position’s requirements.
