SALARY RANGE: $95,000 - $105,000/YEAR                                                                                                                             

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Provides leadership for financial, tax and payroll functions of accounting.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Provides direction, controls and makes recommendations to management about the financial, audit preparation, tax, stocks, investment, and payroll.

 

Ensures that all preparations are completed in advance of the audit function at the end of each fiscal year to provide management with future projections and save audit time and expense.

 

Develops and implements tax strategies, planning and compliance for all federal, state and local taxes.

 

Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.  Delegates authority for receipt, disbursement, banking, protections and custody of funds, securities and financial instruments.

 

Evaluates need for procurement of funds and investment of surplus.  Advises management on investments and loans.

 

Assesses business opportunities, negotiate agreements and build and strengthen partnerships.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Prepares sales, motor fuel, excise and franchise tax reports and returns to state and federal agencies.  Responsible for monitoring various tax law changes and preparing tax planning strategies.

 

Provides direction for systems training and uniformity of accounting, reporting and inventory control between all locations.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance, and at least 6 years experience in accounting or finance or related area to demonstrate financial leadership in the areas of risk analysis, cost/benefit analysis, internal controls, auditing and budgeting.

 

A CPA preferred.

 

Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.  Must be able to travel independently and overnight.

 

Must be able to work hours beyond those considered normal.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Conserv FS’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
