Human Resources & Safety Compliance Administrator
REPORTS TO: CFO STATUS: Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $75,000
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Provides administrative support to all HR functions related to benefits, employment, compensation, payroll, and compliance administration. Provides sourcing and recruiting services that result in Conserv FS, Inc. attracting and hiring top talent. Attends career fairs, trade shows and other industry events, and develops relationships with local colleges, technical schools, and vocational programs. Provides support to the Safety Manager to ensure a culture of safety within the company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Compiles payroll data from time sheets and other records to ensure accurate and timely processing of the non-exempt payroll.
Coordinates benefit enrollment with new hires, and uploads data to all vendors for timely coverage.
Maintains record of PTO, FMLA, leaves of absences and other time off. Aids employees requesting information on these paid time-off plans and policies.
Partners with hiring managers to understand skills, experience and education required for current and/or future open positions.
Maintains candidate databases in the applicant tracking system (SuccessFactors) of top prospective candidates. Communicates and maintains relationships with candidates to keep them interested as prospects for future potential staffing needs.
Documents all employment related activity and decisions relating to the candidate selection process in accordance with company and governmental policies & regulations. Adheres to all departmental requirements related to SuccessFactors record keeping and documentation.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining software for both Human Resources & Safety areas.
Ensures that all required paperwork and documentation is in place for all company vehicles, facilities and offices to meet regulations required by DOT, OSHA, Homeland Security and Insurance Provider.
Works in conjunction with the HR department on all worker compensation claims, and all DOT/FMCSA requirements to ensure compliance.
Updates, or assists with updates, to Tier II reporting, Risk Management Plans (RMP), Emergency Response Plans (ERP), Emergency Action Plans (EAP), and DOT Security Plans as needed.
Responsible for effective communications to the CEO/General Manager of problems and opportunities in the areas of Safety and Regulatory operations. Creates, maintains and provides the CEO/General Manager a schedule and calendar of dates for compliance of all safety, environmental, and regulatory reports, licenses, permits etc. for all Conserv FS facilities and business activities.
Assists with safety compliance inspections of Conserv FS facilities. Prepares a written report with digital photos to inform local management of conditions observed and recommends improvements for employee safety and operational compliance.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Remain informed and current on all laws, permits, regulations and requirements that affect company operations, facilities, equipment and personnel and assure Conserv FS is compliant.
Assists with the management of the Safety program.
Follows Conserv FS’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a 2-year degree in human resources, communications, marketing, or related field and 2 - 3 years of relevant experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to generate and manipulate Excel reports and use SharePoint technology.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
May be required to travel independently and overnight.
Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
Occasionally exposed or required to:
- Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
- Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
- May be required to work at varying heights
- Lift 51 - 70 lbs.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
