Responsible for maintaining records on all grain activity of patrons, summarizing daily, monthly, and yearly activity for financial statements.





Compiles and verifies a balanced position for the location and effect on master daily grain position record.


Assists in compiling month-end work printouts for use in preparing financial statements.


Accounts for numerical sequence of all pre-numbered documents.


Performs calculations affecting patrons.


Buys grain and makes grain settlements based on grain market action.


Keeps WHR and profit/loss records up-to-date and reconciles monthly to the daily position records.


Conducts a daily back-up of records, reconciles daily records, and completes a daily roll.


Processes all grain trucking invoices in a timely manner.


Maintains the office and personal work area to support the company image.





Supports marketing efforts of the company.


Performs all other duties as assigned.





Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree, high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 2-4 years of work experience to demonstrate knowledge of grain accounting.


Normally requires an agricultural background.


Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.


Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.


Ability to work hours beyond those considered normal.


Ability to travel independently and overnight.
