Cash Management Specialist - GROWMARK, Inc. - Bloomington, IL

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

The position is responsible for performing continuous monitoring and reporting activities related to the Company's global liquidity position. Daily cash management activities include evaluating and reporting the Company's daily cash and debt position and initiation of cash transactions to support business requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
Monitors and manages the daily cash position in the US and Canada for GROWMARK and its subsidiaries. 

 

Executes funds transfers necessary to balance company’s daily cash position and records resulting intercompany loan advances/repayments.

 

Manages intercompany loans by updating interest rates, executing advances and repayments, maintaining monthly statements, and processing monthly interest payments. 

 

Communicates with banks to investigate and resolve problems related to daily cash activities.

 

Analyzes and provides reports to management on monthly bank account analysis fees. 

 

Supports strong banking party relationships to ensure delivery of appropriate and cost-effective banking services and support.

 

Coordinates the administration of GROWMARK’s equipment leasing programs.

 

Serves as primary administrator for treasury systems and banking platforms including user setups, electronic payment template creation and approval, tracking of users and bank account signers.

 

Assists with internal and external audit requests.

 

Ensures all activities follow fraud prevention measures, accounting guidelines, regulatory requirements, company policies, and internal controls.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Maintains records of activities for review by the Treasury staff and for use by Accounting to record activity.

 

Collaborate with and provide backup to the Cash Management Analyst and the Cash Management & Credit Coordinator positions as needed.

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or MIS and 2-4 years of experience in banking, treasury, or accounting.  

 

Understanding and experience with accounting/finance-related areas including cash management, intercompany loans, leasing, investment notes, and account reconciliations. 

 

Proven professional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

 

Demonstrated planning, organization, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

 

Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

 

Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, and Outlook.

 

Demonstrated GROWMARK Essential Abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Must have a valid driver’s license and passport with the ability to work extended hours and travel independently overnight.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
