PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
 
Under the direction of the Manager, Risk Finance & Insurance, assists with risk management functions.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
Conduct on-site visits to member cooperatives to perform property surveys and review property valuations.
 
Build professional relationships with GROWMARK staff, member company employees, and insurance brokers.
 
REQUIREMENTS
 

• Must be pursuing a major in business studies, preferably a risk management and insurance related curriculum at a 4 year accredited university, with a status of at least a second semester sophomore or junior with a current cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher at the time the position begins.
• Must have basic geometry knowledge.
• Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, customer focus, communication, decision making, and skill development.
• Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position. 
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must be able to travel independently and overnight when necessary.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist with insurance renewals.
• May attend risk management meetings.
• Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
