PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Responsible for managing the processing for billing and payment of Agronomy and warehouse products in accordance with corporate guidelines for proper accounting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

 

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

 

Supervises, leads, and develops Warehouse Processing and Control Supervisor, Crop Protection Processing Coordinator, Seed Processing Specialist, Agronomy Processor II, and Agronomy Processor I.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
Manages order processing, customer billing, supplier invoice processing, resolution of disputed invoices, and customer and supplier contract administration to maximize customer service to product divisions, customers, and suppliers.

 

Collaborates with appropriate personnel within Controllers, Agronomy, IT, Logistics, suppliers, customers, and third party providers to identifty, develop, and lead implementation of changes to the ERP systems and business processes affecting order entry, customer invoicing, supplier payments, and customer and supplier contracting programs. 

 

Advises product division in setting up marketing programs, pricing policies, contracting programs, and control procedures to ensure compliance and internal control within corporate guidelines.

 

Maintains current operating knowledge of the SAP and OMNI enterprise systems that are used for ordering, billing, and supplier payments and all related control processes. Maintains knowledge of related SAP database tables and information available to use specialized query software to identify and resolve problems and improve control, effectiveness, and efficiency, and to provide information to other departments for managing their business. Ensures skill development and expanded use of the technology in the department.

 

Monitors weekly SAP system change transport schedule for changes impacting Agronomy and Warehouse processing and leads ongoing testing to ensure continued functioning of billing and vendor processing transactions.


Serves as primary backup for Director, Business Process on non-routine pricing approvals and authorizations for procurement.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Educates customers on how to utilize order processing services available.

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a college degree in accounting, finance, business administration or the equivalent thereof, and 4 years or more of related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide agronomy processing and control leadership to the GROWMARK System.

 

Prefer an MBA degree to demonstrate advanced business knowledge.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Understanding and experience with accounting-related areas including processing, ordering, billing, reconciliation systems, accounting information systems, inventory control, internal controls, policies and procedures, compliance along with product accounting processing planning, budgeting, and program execution.

 

Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight as necessary.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
