PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for providing leadership to “customer” member/retail cooperatives in development and execution of enterprise marketing initiatives across multiple channels/platforms that drives sales and build customer engagement and loyalty at the customer” member/retail level. Assures that the GROWMARK System’s marketing thrust is creative, focused, branded, effective, and coordinated across all divisions. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  •  Collaborates with “customer” member/retail General Managers and Marketing Managers in the strategic planning and development of local enterprise marketing and communication plans to reach established targeted goals that are measurable and in alignment and support of GROWMARK divisions and enterprise marketing objectives.
  • Analyze, build, and assists in execution of marketing campaigns focused on the GROWMARK & FS brands across multi-channels/platforms in collaboration with enterprise marketing strategists and leadership team. Ensure all content supports the overall strategy related to goals, voice, and brand. 
  • Serves as project manager developing campaigns and activities to engage “customer” member/retail salespeople when appropriate. Collaborate with various enterprise marketing teams including the enterprise marketing strategists and analysts on timeline, messaging, and multi-channels (social, website, email, direct mail, digital, events/sponsorships, etc.).
  • Provides leadership and direction to “customer” member/retail cooperatives Marketing Assistants in local execution of sales and marketing activities including a strong emphasis on digital marketing, engagement and content creation/collaboration with predetermined goals that are measurable. 
  • Oversees development and implementation of local marketing collaterals in support of local “customer” member/retail marketing strategies. Maintains the integrity of established brands across product lines, advertising, and all other internal and external communications. 
  • Provides insight to GROWMARK Enterprise Marketing Leadership team in collaboration with Member Resources staff in development of “customer” member/retail marketing programs that will be effective with “customer” member/retail cooperatives. Provide expertise and recommendations (including goals, execution, and testing) in specific channels to ensure inclusion where appropriate to marketing plan.
  • Works with “customer” member/retail to understand product lines, differentiators, and goals to develop and execute a holistic marketing strategy that include the cross-sell mindset. 
  • Collaborates with “customer” member/retail General Managers, Marketing Managers and Marketing Assistants in researching and understanding the competitive landscape, defining customer and target segments at both regional and enterprise level.

  • Responsible to stay actively engaged and build overall personal awareness on current and emerging trends, best practices and other relevant information related to enterprise marketing with an emphasis on digital.
  • Confidently and concisely build recommendations and present to all levels of leadership. Ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information internally and externally teams.
  • Ability to ask the right questions to get to root causes, analyze problems, and provide holistic recommendations based on knowledge.
  • Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.
  • Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or the equivalent thereof, and 5+ years or more of marketing related work experience to demonstrate marketing knowledge.
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, superb prioritization and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.
  • May required to lift and move 21-50 lbs.
  • May be required to work beyond what are considered normal business hours.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
