Northern US Veg Seed Sales Mgr. - Seedway - Elizabethtown, PA

We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT 

 

Remotely manage sales in northern regions, and supervise sales personnel and identify strategies to improve sales. 

 

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP 

 

Supervise, lead and develop Sales Representatives in northern regions. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  

Oversees pricing strategies for situational pricing; develops price quotes and special price lists  

 

Participates in the development and planning of sales and product strategies to include forecasting, product development and introduction. 

 

Plans and executes at least two sales meetings per year 

 

Develops and implements sales tools for Sales Representatives 

 

Provides direction for marketing and advertising strategies and programs 

 

Monitors and assists accounts receivables 

 

Manages sales and selling expenses to meet budgeted goals 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS 

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. 

 

Performs all other duties as assigned. 

 

REQUIREMENTS 

 

Normally requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Marketing or other business related discipline, and at least 5 years of sales/marketing/management experience, or the equivalent thereof, to demonstrate leadership  and the ability to generate profitable sales  

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. 

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. 

Must be able to travel independently and overnight as needed. 

 

Must be able to work extended hours beyond those considered “normal” to meet seasonal demands.  

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
