Order Processing Associate - Seedway - Elizabethtown, PA

 

Seedway is headquartered in Hall, New York with branches in Pennsylvania, Florida, Vermont, Maine, and New York. Seedway has about 220 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 15,000 customers. The cooperative does business in farm, vegetable, and turf seed. Seedway is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Performs a variety of clerical duties, such as organizing and processing orders, typing, filing and data entry for releases. To chart, contact sales force and customer’s for waiver paperwork for company. Responsible for all holds pertaining to any release needed and restricted area of sales due to product allocations.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Obtain all necessary waivers and release orders in accordance with defined processes

 

Perform order entry and processes data entry related to credit status, acknowledgements and product and price verification

 

Communicates with customers, salespersons and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate of explain information, take orders and address complaints.

 

Responsible for collection and preparation of annual reports for things such as Grower Point of sale reporting.

 

Release orders according to procedures for geographic restrictions as well as product allocations.

 

Gathers and maintains all necessary information for customer catalog mailings including supplies

 

Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with all internal and external customers

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1 – 3 years or more of clerical related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of professional communication skills, typing proficiency and Microsoft Office programs.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

 

Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
