PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
As a warehouse lead, you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in delivering high-quality, accurately labeled products to our customers — safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. In this role, you’ll play a key part in daily operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly from production to shipment.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP
Lead, support, and inspire warehouse team members to work safely, efficiently, and collaboratively. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Review and edit orders to ensure accuracy and resolve shipping issues promptly.
- Verify product weights and packaging standards to maintain top-notch quality.
- Oversee shipping operations and coordinate truck scheduling for on-time delivery.
- Track and maintain accurate inventory of bagged products.
- Participate in the annual physical inventory process.
- Operate key warehouse equipment such as forklifts, mixers, and baggers safely and efficiently.
- Partner with the Warehouse Manager to identify challenges and develop practical, effective solutions.
- Provide backup support for receiving and order printing when needed.
- Take on additional responsibilities that contribute to team success.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; at least 2 years of warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Strong skills in organization, communication, and problem solving — with a passion for teamwork and customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Working knowledge of state seed laws and labeling regulations a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
- Must be able to operate a forklift (OSHA certification or ability to obtain required).
- Willingness to work extended or flexible hours during busy periods.
