PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Under the direction of the Seed Lab Manager, is responsible for conducting seed testing and facilitating communication between all Seedway managers and external labs regarding seed testing. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Assists in maintaining records for all seed testing.

Conducts germination testing for all locations.

Sorts all seed mixtures  byindividual kind of seed prior to seed germination.

Conducts testing on each finished seed lot.

Participates in re-germination tests.

Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to:  data entry, photocopying, faxing, mailing and filing.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1-3 years or more of clerical related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of professional communication skills, typing proficiency, attention to detail and Microsoft Office programs.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Ability and willingness to learn AOSA rules and procedures and Federal and State Laws for seed testing.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Willingness to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
