SALARY RANGE

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
- Work with all divisions of the Credit and Cash Application Departments.
- Supports Seedway credit policy and program to protect assets and facilitate business growth.
SUPERVISION & LEADERSHIP
- Supervises, leads, and develops Cash Application staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee Credit and Cash Application office staffs, under the direction of the Credit Manager, to insure timeliness of account set up, reconciliation, etc.
- Champion external lending programs with sales staff and customers. Oversee administration of programs through Credit and Cash Application office staff.
- Work with Credit Manager to:
- Coordinate activities related to investigating and verifying financial status and reputation of prospective customers with focus on the Farm Seed Division, assisting the Credit Manager with other divisions as needed.
- Prepare documents to substantiate findings and recommends rejection or approval of applications.
- Establish credit limits on customer accounts and review special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment with Credit Manager for approval.
- Investigate possible legal action and allocation for insufficient checks and delinquent invoices.
- Review collection reports to ascertain status of collections and outstanding balances to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures. Review with Credit Manager for best practices.
- Act as a resource for credit related information to sales representatives and managers.
- Maintains computer files of credit forms, templates and form letters.
- Administers Address Book Module in JDE Information System.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Visit Key accounts with Sales Managers
- Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or the equivalent thereof, and 2 to 5 years or more of accounting or banking/lending related work experience.
- Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Ability to travel 10% of the time; as well as independently and overnight.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
