Logistics Assistant - Seedway - Hall, NY

SALARY RANGE

$16 - $17 per hour

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Seeking an enthusiastic candidate to assist with distribution and supply to join our team!   

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

 

Coordinate and track shipments through the company’s TMS system.

 

Help manage transportation of inventory between locations, communicating with customers and third-party service providers.

 

Work with vendors and carrier services to coordinate proper logistics and timelines; help customers resolve shipment issues and complaints when they arise.


Maintain shipment paperwork, records and digital databases, performing additional administrative and clerical duties as requested.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Work closely with operations, warehousing and delivery teams to achieve performance objectives.

 

Attend and assist with trainings and meetings throughout the year as needed.

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

High school diploma or GED certificate, with 3 plus years’ experience in logistics or related role.

 

Excellent communication skills with outstanding organizational abilities.

 

Be willing and able to work extended hours if needed.

 

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn company’s operating system.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
