Product Development & Operations Support Assistant - SEEDWAY - Hall, NY

Provide support for product development of small plots and demonstration plot program and it’s related functions.





Seed packet preparation and plot setup for planting 10 plot locations and nurseries


Planting and harvesting of plot locations


Equipment maintenance


Data collection and transfer to office from field


Demonstration plot seed preparation


Field signing support for company wide sales group


Nursery operation activities – may include limited weekend work in peak period of pollination


Support sales group in all functions where the product development links with the sales group (field days, literature, other as needed)





Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.


During product development down time, provide support to warehouse operations, customer deliveries.


Performs all other duties as assigned.





Normally requires an Associate Degree in plant science, or other business related discipline, and at least 1 year of related experience, or the equivalent thereof, including project management, problem solving and planning skills.


Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.


Must obtain and maintain pesticide license and regulatory qualifications with Seedway assistance, training and support


Must have and maintain a valid CDL Class A driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.


Frequently exposed to working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures


Ability to travel independently and overnight.


Will be required to work hours other than those considered “normal” to meet seasonal demands.


Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
