Seed Lab Tech - Seedway - Hall, NY

We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada.

SALARY RANGE

$ 15 - $ 16 per hour.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Conduct seed testing under company policy.

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Conduct germination testing for all locations.

Monitor correct use of germination media, temperature, number of seed replications, and length of germination test.

Document and record results.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply

Performs all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1 – 3 years or more of clerical related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of professional communication skills, typing proficiency and Microsoft Office programs.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
