Summer Nursery Assistant - Seedway, LLC - Hall, NY

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for performing summer outdoor field work maintaining the seed and corn nursery stock.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Ear bagging seed corn.

Assisting with hybrid cross-pollination.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

May be required to drive on company business.

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires H.S. diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 0-1 years or more of related work experience.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Must be able to work hours beyond those considered “normal” to meet seasonal demands. 

Occasionally exposed to:  
•    Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
