PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for overseeing warehouse operations while also engaging in sales activities to meet customer needs. This role combines leadership in warehouse management with expertise in sales, ensuring efficient inventory handling and excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Warehouse Supervision:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage inventory control processes, including stock checks and order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with logistics to optimize shipping and receiving processes.
Inside Sales:
- Respond to customer inquiries, providing product information and pricing.
- Process sales orders and manage customer accounts.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts and reports, analyzing data to improve sales performance.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and market trends.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or Logistics is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision and inside sales (3+ years preferred).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
